Do I have to write the copy?

Photography?
We'll use your own images where you have them, since real photos of a real business outperform stock every time. Where you don't, we source properly licensed imagery. If your business would benefit from a photography session, we'll tell you rather than paper over it.
Hosting?
Sites are deployed to Vercel or Cloudflare, both of which are fast and cheap. You own the account. Hosting for a typical brochure site costs nothing to a few pounds a month, and it's billed to you directly, not marked up through us.
Domain?
Stays in your name, in your registrar account. If you're currently locked out of your own domain by a previous developer, we've dealt with that before and can walk you through recovering it.

You'll deal with me directly, from the first call to the handover. There's no account manager, no offshore team, and no situation where the person who sold you the site is different from the person building it.
Background: computer science degree, around four years building and running commercial websites — SEO, Google and Meta advertising, WordPress, Shopify, and modern frameworks like Astro. Before starting the studio I ran the digital side of several businesses, which is a useful thing to have done before building websites for other people: I've been the one waiting on a developer who stopped replying.

How much does a website cost in Lancashire?

How long does it take?
Two to three weeks for a brochure site, four to six for a B2B build, six to eight for ecommerce. The timeline starts when your content is ready.
Do I own the website?
Yes, completely, once the final payment clears. Code, content and design all transfer to you. You can host it anywhere and hire anyone to work on it.
Do you write the content?
Yes, included as standard. You review and correct it.
What happens after launch?
Thirty days of fixes are included. After that you can take a care plan from £99/month for monitoring, backups, updates and developer time, or manage it yourself — there's no lock-in either way.
Can you fix my existing website instead of rebuilding it?
Sometimes. If the underlying build is sound and the problem is speed, structure or content, a rebuild is a waste of your money and we'll say so. If it's a page builder site with four hundred plugins, honestly, no.
Will I lose my Google rankings if you redesign my site?
Not if it's done properly. We map every existing URL to its replacement with 301 redirects before cutover. Rankings usually recover within a couple of weeks and often improve, because the new site is faster.
Do you work with businesses outside Lancashire?
Yes. Roughly half our work is UK-wide and remote. Lancashire clients get the option of meeting in person.
Do you use WordPress?
Where it's genuinely the right tool — usually when a client needs to edit content constantly. Most business sites are better served by a hand-coded static build, which is faster and has almost no security surface. We'll recommend based on your situation, not our preference.
